Speedthane

Finally the Latest  Materials Technology has been         applied to Stock Car Racing’s  quick fix.

Speedthane, is manufactured from the Automotive Industry’s finest Micro-Cellular Polyurethane material (MCU), and consistently outperforms any other spring rubber currently available.

Speedthane has a Progressive spring rate.  This property is unique to MCU. Upon entry , the MCU will not give the driver the ‘bump’ associated with conventional spring rubbers.

Speedthane is available in 3 densities or spring rates, so no more half or third rubbers required.  This feature reduces spring sag and  spring fatigue.

Speedthane maintains it’s rate under the most severe applications.  Tested at 180 F Speedthane retains 95% of it’s original spring rate, comparable rubber products retain  less than 80% of their original spring rate. This makes Speedthane  more consistent on long runs and hot track conditions.

Speedthane lasts 3-4 times as long as rubber in durability testing.

This revolutionary product is only available through Lavigne Distributors of Manchester, NH.  All profit from sales of the Speedthane product are donated to Kids First USA, a non-profit foundation that uses a Unique Motorsports approach to nurture an interest in Math, Science and Good Health in  America’s Children.           Thank you for your Support.

Microcellular Polyurethane Engineering Facts:

1.  Higher softening temperatures

2.  Higher isolation of vibration

3.      Lower ratio of static to dynamic stiffness:  More consistent behavior at all frequency of inputs

4.      Better low temperature  performance

5.      Superior resistance of  oils, grease, brake fluid, fuels.

6.      Will not ozone age and change stiffness over time

7.      Lower long term compression set than rubber

8.      Greater consistency from part to part than rubber.

9.      Greater tunability with three different stiffnesses.

10.   Superior tear and abrasion resistance.

11.   Greater compressability than rubber.

12.   Damping increase with amplitude increase.

13.   Reduces Peak impact loads by 15% minimum.

14.   Reduces coil spring resonance.

15.   Engineered by Racers for Racers
